KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Principal Frontend Engineer based in Denver, Co. The role is Hybrid with 3 days onsite each week. 

About the Role
We're looking for a Principal Frontend Engineer to help build and shape the user-facing side of our products. You'll bring deep expertise in modern frontend development, a strong understanding of clean architecture, and a collaborative mindset.
In addition to writing high-quality code, you'll mentor other developers, help guide technical direction, and work closely with designers and stakeholders to deliver intuitive, polished interfaces. This is a hands-on position for someone with at least five years of experience who takes ownership of code quality and enjoys raising standards across the team.
Experience with Vue 3+ is preferred, but we're also interested in strong React or Angular engineers who are excited to transition to Vue. Experience in payments, foreign exchange, or another regulated industry is a plus.

What You'll Do
  • Build and maintain reliable, maintainable frontend applications using Vue 3+ and TypeScript.
  • Design scalable frontend solutions using clean architecture and coding practices.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews and uphold high standards for quality across the team.
  • Mentor other developers on architecture, best practices, and clean coding habits.
  • Build responsive and accessible interfaces using Tailwind CSS, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests using Vitest.
  • Work with modern build tools and bundlers such as Vite.
  • Collaborate with designers to turn UX/UI concepts into intuitive and visually polished experiences.
  • Partner with engineers and stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment while contributing to the team's technical direction.
  • Use AI development tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot to improve productivity.
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
  • Five or more years of experience building production software.
  • Proficiency with Vue 3+, or strong experience with React or Angular and an interest in transitioning to Vue.
  • Strong TypeScript knowledge.
  • A demonstrated commitment to clean, maintainable code.
  • Strong knowledge of frontend architecture and object-oriented programming and design.
  • Experience conducting effective code reviews.
  • Experience mentoring developers on best practices and code quality.
  • Experience with modern Tailwind CSS.
  • Experience writing unit tests using Vitest or Jest.
  • Understanding of JavaScript build tools and module bundlers such as Vite, Rollup, or Webpack.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive web design, and accessibility principles.
  • Understanding of UX/UI design principles and the ability to collaborate closely with designers.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience with—or an open mindset toward—AI coding tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to align engineers and stakeholders around a technical direction.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PostCSS, Sass, SCSS, or similar CSS technologies.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end testing frameworks such as Playwright.
  • Experience with Storybook for component-driven development and UI documentation.
  • Experience in payments, foreign exchange, or another regulated industry.
