How much do frontend bike jobs pay per hour?

As of Jun 20, 2026, the average hourly pay for frontend bike in the United States is $22.19, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $15.38 and $28.12 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What exactly is frontend?

Frontend refers to the part of a web or application interface that users interact with directly. Frontend developers build this layer using technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, focusing on design, layout, and user experience. They often work with frameworks such as React or Angular and need skills in visual design and responsive development.

What are Frontend Bike jobs?

Frontend Bike jobs typically refer to roles focused on developing and maintaining the user-facing parts of software or applications specifically for bike-related platforms, such as bike-sharing apps or cycling e-commerce sites. These roles involve using technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create engaging and responsive interfaces that enhance the user experience for cyclists or customers. Frontend Bike developers often collaborate with designers and backend developers to ensure smooth functionality and appealing visuals tailored to the biking community. Their work is crucial in making digital cycling services accessible, intuitive, and reliable.

What are some common challenges Frontend Developers face when working on bicycle-related applications or platforms?

Frontend Developers working on bicycle-related applications often encounter unique challenges, such as integrating real-time GPS tracking, ensuring responsive design for mobile users, and displaying complex route or map data clearly. Collaboration with backend developers and designers is essential for providing seamless user experiences, especially when incorporating interactive features like ride analytics or booking systems. Additionally, there is often a focus on optimizing performance for users who may access the app in areas with limited connectivity.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Frontend Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Frontend Developer, you need strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a solid understanding of responsive design and web accessibility, typically supported by a relevant degree or coding bootcamp experience. Familiarity with frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js, as well as version control systems such as Git, is typically expected. Creativity, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving and communication skills help you stand out in this role. These skills ensure the development of user-friendly, visually appealing, and functional web interfaces that meet both business objectives and user needs.

What is a frontend vs backend?

A frontend bike developer focuses on the user interface and visual aspects of a website or application, using skills like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. A backend developer works on server-side logic, databases, and APIs to support the frontend. Both roles require different technical skills but often collaborate to create a complete web experience.

Common Search/ComparisonYesYes

While both roles involve technical skills, a Frontend Bike focuses on bike repair and maintenance, whereas a Frontend Developer specializes in creating website interfaces. The roles differ in credentials, work environment, and industry, but both require a keen attention to detail and technical knowledge.

Is frontend a single word?

Yes, 'frontend' is typically written as a single word. It refers to the part of web development focused on the user interface and client-side code, often involving skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Frontend developers commonly work with frameworks like React or Angular and may use version control tools such as Git.

What is correct, frontend or front-end?

For a Frontend Bike role or similar web development positions, the correct term is typically 'front-end,' which is hyphenated when used as an adjective. However, in some contexts, especially in titles or branding, 'frontend' as a single word is also accepted. Consistency within a company's style guide or documentation is important, but both forms are widely understood in the industry.

Job description

About ALSO.

Weโ€™re ALSO, an electric mobility company originally conceived as a part of Rivian. Weโ€™re a passionate team of builders, dreamers, doers and innovators, focused on creating entirely new (not to mention, innovative and delightful) vertically integrated, small EVs designed to meet the global mobility challenges of today and tomorrow. Our mission is to inspire everyone to ride ALSOโ€”replacing many local car, truck and SUV miles with ones on vehicles that are more affordable, more enjoyable and 10-50x more efficient.

Join us at a pivotal moment in our journey. As one of the early hires, youโ€™ll play a critical role in shaping the digital experience of our connected e-bike product. This is a greenfield opportunity in a fast-paced, venture-backed startup environment where you will contribute to key decisions, own critical user experiences, and work closely with a small, highly motivated team. Weโ€™re building a premium customer experienceโ€”from purchase to rideโ€”and youโ€™ll be central to that mission. Youโ€™ll have the autonomy to design elegant, scalable systems and the support to grow alongside a rapidly evolving company.

What You Will Do

  • Build, and maintain scalable integrations across our Shopify-based e-commerce, logistics, and account systems, ensuring a seamless user experience.

  • Build APIs and backend services that connect our mobile app, third-party platforms, and internal tools.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, data, and operations teams to bring a seamless multi-platform experience to life.

  • Ship high-quality, maintainable code and continuously improve engineering practices through documentation, code reviews, and refactoring.

  • Contribute to growing our engineering culture by introducing best practices and fostering a mindset of continuous learning and improvement.

What You Will Bring

Required

  • Strong Shopify experience (Liquid, Storefront API, Admin API, Functions, App development)

  • Backend development in Node.js or Go in the AWS ecosystem.

  • Experience with event-driven systems (webhooks, queues, EventBridge, SQS, etc.)

  • Comfortable with relational databases (Postgres/MySQL)

  • Good understanding of E-commerce flows: orders, carts, payments, refunds, RMA

  • Demonstrated success in a 0โ†’1 setting, ideally in a startup or highly autonomous role.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; able to build trust and drive alignment across technical and non-technical teams.

Bonus:

  • Frontend development experience (React, modern UI frameworks).

  • AWS services (Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, DynamoDB), NetSuite/Celigo

The salary for this position ranges from $145,000 - $210,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and location.

Perks & Benefits

  • Robust health coverage โ€” excellent health, dental, and vision insurance covered up to 100% by ALSO, with FSA & HSA options

  • One Medical membership and dedicated insurance advocates

  • Rich fertility and family-building benefits with Progyny

  • Flexible time off

  • 401(k) match

Why ALSO.

Weโ€™re passionate about helping the world find a better way to get thereโ€”wherever it is youโ€™re headed.

Weโ€™re located in the heart of Silicon Valley and have brought together a world-class team from some of the biggest brands in the technology, automotive, cycling, outdoor recreation and retail spaces.ย

Together weโ€™re working hands-on to imagine, design and build an entirely new solution to a global set of transportation challenges.ย
