Job description

Loader Job Description

Loaders are responsible for all "load" calls, assembling product(s) as needed, opening & closing duties, general cleaning / upkeep in and around the store.

A friendly, helpful and professional attitude is necessary in working with customers and with co-workers.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Daily Loader duties include:
  • Assist with all product loading calls.
  • Complete daily projects assigned by managers. What needs to be assembled, any deliveries, or other tasks.
  • Keep an eye on cardboard bins and empty as needed, but always at the end of the day.
  • Maintain the dumpster area
  • Empty all garbage as needed and at the end of each day.
  • Maintain breakroom cleanliness
  • Assist customers as needed on the floor.
  • Front shelves, dust and maintain store appearance
  • Clean all bathrooms as needed
  • Complete daily opening and closing responsibilities

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to communicate clearly on the radio and in person with customers and co-workers.
  • Able to follow through on directions and ask questions if uncertain regarding a skill or task.
  • Ability to track a variety of tasks. Be efficient and organized with time and tasks.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business.
  • Ability to read assembly instructions and complete. May include: wheel barrows, grills, swings, fixtures, etc.

MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lift and load items up to 85 lbs.
  • Load multiple items throughout the day for up to 8 hours.
  • Ability to stand and be on your feet for the length of your shift (up to 8 hours).
