You are responsible for the sale of fuel and other in-store merchandise, processing transactions at the point of sale, and assisting in the overall operations at the store providing the best customer service as a priority. 


Responsibilities

  • Ensure each customer receives excellent customer service by greeting and acknowledging each customer
  • Provide customers with a quick and efficient check-out experience
  • Process and handle monetary transactions including cash, check, gift card, credit/debit card, etc.
  • Follow all city, county, and state regulations and procedures regarding the transactions of tobacco products, & lottery tickets
  • Assist customers with all questions and concerns
  • Maintain adequate stock levels of merchandise. Restock and front merchandise as needed
  • Assist with general store operations as needed by the store manager and overall security of the facility
  • Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders. 
  • Uses Point of Sale system/cash register 
  • Assists with stocking of products and supplies  
  • Maintains the organization and cleanliness of the cooler   
Requirements:
  • Operating a cash register handling cash at high levels of accuracy
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers of varying levels of demeanor
  • Ability to assess a situation and make a logical decision

Physical Requirements

  • Standing for prolonged periods of time with occasional walking, bending, reaching, push, pull, stoop, squat, and climb, as required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
