Department: Food & Beverage
Reports to: Food & Beverage Managers
Status: Seasonal | Non-Exempt | Hourly $18.00 


Position Summary
The Food Runner supports the service team by ensuring food is delivered quickly, accurately, and presented to club standards. This role acts as the link between the kitchen and front-of-house team, helping maintain smooth service flow and a great member dining experience. 


Key Responsibilities 

Order Accuracy & Timing 

  • Ensure orders are prepared and delivered promptly and in the correct priority 
  • Match food items to tickets and confirm accuracy before leaving the kitchen 
  • Check dishes for presentation and quality standards 
  • Label and organize all to-go orders, confirming accuracy and completeness 

Expo Line Support 

  • Manage order flow between the kitchen and service team 
  • Serve as the communication point between cooks and servers 
  • Inform staff of menu updates and 86'd items 
  • Add final touches to plates (garnishes, wipe edges, quality check) 
  • Keep the expo line stocked, clean, and organized throughout the shift 

Food Delivery 

  • Carry and deliver food to tables using trays 
  • Follow correct seat positions and table numbers 
  • Provide prompt, professional service when interacting with members and guests 

Setup & Team Support 

  • Assist with buffet and special event setup/breakdown 
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas before, during, and after shifts 
  • Complete nightly side work 
  • Jump in to support teammates as needed 

Service Standards 

  • Attend pre-shift lineups 
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality standards 
  • Report issues or delays to management 
  • Provide attentive and courteous service to all members and guests

Physical & Work Requirements 

  • Stand and walk for extended periods 
  • Carry trays and lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally 
  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions 
  • Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed 
  • Work safely around hot surfaces, wet floors, and kitchen equipment
