Front Desk Operations Manager

Summit Spine and Joint Centers (SSJC) is a rapidly growing, multi-state spine and joint care organization providing integrated clinical, surgical, and imaging services. With clinic and ASC locations across Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida. Our care teams include IPS in North Carolina, Savannah Pain Management in Georgia, and Southeast Neurology & Pain Management in Florida, all operating as part of the SSJC organization. We are committed to collaboration, high-quality patient-centered care, and supporting our teams as we continue to expand. We are seeking motivated, qualified professionals to join us in delivering exceptional care across our growing network.

Job Description Summary: This job is a full-time, salary-exempt, benefited position at Summit Spine & Joint Centers that reports to the Director of Clinical Operations for Georgia. Based out of our administrative office in Lawrenceville, this role is responsible for ensuring all Front Desk Operations within the State of Georgia are flowing smoothly, efficiently, and in full support of the overall company mission.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee clinic and ASC front desk operations, establishing and implementing goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for the department
  • Project manage initiatives as directed by the Director of Clinic Operations or COO, contributing to process improvement and positive P&L growth
  • Serve as liaison between leadership and employees, promoting staff performance improvement through training and performance evaluation
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of structured employee training programs for all front desk staff
  • Partner and collaborate with physicians and Administration to ensure clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and operational workflows support the overall company mission
  • Collaborate with the Medical Assistant Operations Manager to ensure interdepartmental work is accomplished
  • Coordinate with Human Resources and Employee Scheduling to ensure adequate staffing for all locations under your purview
  • Coordinate with 3rd party services to ensure continued company operations
  • Gather, analyze, and report data for fiscal and statistical analysis
  • Additional duties as assigned
Skills And Abilities:
  • Cohesive leadership and customer service skills required
  • Ability to become a core trainer and super user of EHR (E Clinical Works)
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to read, write, and speak in English fluently (Multi-Lingual is a plus)
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to address issues with staff
  • Ability to train, mentor, and motivate staff
  • Emotional intelligence and manner while assessing performance of employees/performance standards, implementing change, ensuring accountability, and rewarding achievement
Education And Experience:
  • Must be willing to travel to all assigned locations within Georgia
  • Experience using eClinicalWorks preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

The employee in this role must communicate professionally, respectfully, and effectively with patients, visitors, clinicians, coworkers, and vendors, including in busy, demanding, or stressful circumstances. The employee must maintain professional composure and consistently perform assigned duties throughout the scheduled work period; manage routine workplace stressors and feedback without disrupting patient care, patient-facing operations, or coworkers' work; and use established de-escalation and escalation procedures when appropriate. The employee must exercise sound judgment; maintain appropriate workplace boundaries; receive and respond to routine feedback and direction; protect confidential patient and business information; and address patient or workplace concerns through established supervisory and safety procedures. These functions are essential to the position.
