Job Summary:
Belcan is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support production and engineering operations for an industrial client. This role is embedded on-site and works cross-functionally across design, planning, manufacturing, and quality to ensure products are built to print and meet all regulatory and customer requirements.
This position offers a blend of shop floor support and front-end engineering involvement, with opportunities for direct hire.
Key Responsibilities:
* Partner with Project Engineers to review and approve project plans, work instructions, material POs, and nonconformances to ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and industry standards
* Lead and support investigation and resolution of nonconformances (NCRs) on the shop floor
* Translate engineering drawings into manufacturing and inspection requirements to ensure build-to-print execution
* Collaborate across welding, machining, assembly, inspection, and engineering teams to drive production quality
* Interface directly with customers to resolve quality issues and support larger-scale corrective actions
* Support a mix of 1 large or multiple smaller projects depending on assignment
* Execute core quality activities including ballooning, FAI, inspection data compilation (IDC), Q-notes, and reporting
* Maintain documentation, configuration control, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, operations, engineering, or related field
* Experience in manufacturing quality and nonconformance management related to welding processes
* Strong understanding of interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
* Project management experience supporting multiple workstreams
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers and cross-functional teams
* Working knowledge of ERP / MRP systems (ideally Infor Visual)
* U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work
Leadership & Core Competencies:
* Ability to drive schedules and proactively communicate status across stakeholders
* Comfortable working embedded within manufacturing operations
* Strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering and production teams
* Capable of identifying and implementing process and quality improvements
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with ASME NQA-1 standards
* Build, assembly, weld, and machining experience
