Job Summary:

The Part-Time Cashier is responsible for, but not limited to, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining efficient, accurate point-of-sale transactions. This role supports overall store operations by ensuring smooth front-end processes, assisting customers with purchases and inquiries, and representing the Mallards brand with professionalism.


Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
  • Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.
  • Assist with bagging, tagging, restocking, and light merchandising as needed.
  • Balance cash drawer and follow all cash control procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with the Cashier Supervisor and management regarding customer      concerns or issues.
  • Support store promotions, events, and sales initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, including security and safety standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous retail or cashier experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail oriented.
  • Basic math and computer skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and handle routine front-end duties.

Schedule:
