Gen Z job seekers often face challenges such as limited work experience, high competition, and employers' preference for candidates with specific skills like digital literacy and adaptability. These factors contribute to difficulties in securing entry-level positions.

What are Front End Assistants?

Front End Assistants are employees who support the checkout and customer service operations at retail stores, especially in warehouse clubs like Costco. Their main duties include helping customers pack and load their purchases, maintaining organized and clean checkout areas, and assisting cashiers with bagging or moving items. They also provide general customer assistance, handle carts, and ensure the front end of the store runs smoothly. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

What are some common challenges Front End Assistants face during peak business hours?

Front End Assistants often encounter increased customer volume and longer lines during peak hours, which can make it challenging to maintain efficient service and a positive customer experience. They must balance tasks such as bagging, cart retrieval, and assisting with customer inquiries, all while staying organized and focused under pressure. Developing strong communication with team members and staying adaptable helps manage these busy periods and ensures smooth front-end operations.
