Job Summary

Slater Family Dental is seeking a detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental terminology and administrative support, ensuring efficient scheduling operations within a dental environment.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and assist with check-in.

  • Experience in dental terminology and understanding of dental office procedures.

  • Experience in administrative support, preferably in a dental office setting.

  • Familiarity with EagleSoft software and Revenue Well preferred.

  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.

  • Receive and forward x-rays to other dental offices.

  • Assist in departure of patients/check-out.

  • When necessary, create treatment plans and verify insurance estimates are correct.

  • Explanation of dental benefits to patients when necessary.

  • Review patient accounts for collection at time of service.

  • When confirming appointments, let patient know to come prepared to make payment on any outstanding balance or any treatment scheduled for the appointment.

  • Assist in making payment plans.

  • Call in prescriptions as directed by Dentists.

  • Confirm lab deliveries for upcoming appointments.

  • Help ensure reception area is neat and tidy.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
