Job description

We are Para la Naturaleza, a nonprofit organization committed to environmental conservation in Puerto Rico. We are currently seeking a Digital Communication Specialist to join our team! This is a full-time position, based in San Juan, PR. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, executing, and monitoring digital communication strategies across the organization's communication channels to strengthen the organization's brand through targeted tactics that drive traffic to digital platforms and increase audience engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Create original content for the organization's digital communication channels.
  • Design and implement social media strategies aligned with organizational campaigns, target audiences, and objectives, tailoring content to each platform and audience.
  • Continuously refine strategies based on performance analysis and emerging trends.
  • Plan, create, and curate original and relevant content (posts, success stories, calls to action) using copy, images, videos, and infographics.
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice that reflects the organization's identity while demonstrating respect and sensitivity toward the communities and natural areas it serves.
  • Visit project sites and protected areas to document stories and capture images, creating authentic content that highlights the organization's impact.
  • Manage day-to-day social media operations, including content scheduling, monitoring, strategic engagement, and responding to messages and comments.
  • Create, manage, and optimize paid social media campaigns, making real-time adjustments based on performance metrics, campaign objectives, and budget allocations.
