Job description

Baystate Health, a nationally recognized leader in healthcare quality and safety, is seeking a Breast Imaging Tracking Coordinator to join our experience Breast Imaging Team in Springfield, MA.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Breast Imaging Tracking Coordinator play an important role in supporting the quality, accuracy, and coordination of breast imaging services across Baystate Health. You'll help ensure critical breast imaging information is accurately tracked, reported, and communicated - supporting patients, physicians, radiologists, and clinical teams throughout the care journey. The Breast Imaging Tracking Coordinator will work closely with the Breast Imaging Medical Director, radiology leadership, technologists, physicians, IT, and other members of the care team, giving you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact behind the scenes of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate mammography tracking activities, including patient results, follow-up recommendations, pathology information, and required documentation.
  • Generate, prepare, and coordinate timely delivery of patient notification letters.
  • Track and follow up on overdue recommendations and assist with patient and physician notifications.
  • Maintain accurate data within mammography tracking systems and develop statistical information and reports.
  • Track biopsy and interventional breast imaging exams and follow-up needs.
  • Assist with patient call-backs, appointment scheduling, and locating patients when needed - providing compassionate and professional communication.
  • Partner with the Breast Imaging Medical Director, radiology management, site leaders, and technologists to address important patient notifications and clinical information.
  • Work with IT to maintain databases, exam names, and related interface codes.
  • Identify missing history or information needed to support accurate breast imaging studies.
  • Assist with preparation of quality reports and Breast Health Network quarterly reports.
  • Prepare data and documentation required for regulatory agencies, inspections, and internal and external assessments.
  • Support compliance with MQSA standards and established breast imaging guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SCHEDULE:

  • Full-time, 40 hours a week
  • Monday through Friday
  • 3 week rotating schedule (week 1: 7:00am-3:30pm, week 2: 7:30am-4:00pm, week 3: 8:30am-5:00pm)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Dipolma or GED
  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional healthcare environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to interdisciplinary teams.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and proactive approach to work.
  • Basic computer skills and comfort working with data and computer systems.
