If you’re a mechanic who enjoys diagnosing problems, fixing equipment the right way, and working independently, this role is built for you. Kept Companies is hiring a District Equipment Mechanic to support multiple locations across South Carolina. You’ll be trusted to keep critical equipment running, reduce downtime, and support operations across the region, with the tools, vehicle, and autonomy to do the job well.


This is a hybrid Mechanic/ Pressure Washer role. You’ll focus on perform Mechanic services, equipment diagnostics, equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, inventory control and assist with pressure washing service.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair pressure washers, pumps, small engines, and mechanical systems
  • Perform standard preventative maintenance (PMs) and corrective repairs
  • Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend long-term solutions
  • Complete safety inspections and ensure equipment meets operating standards
  • Document repairs, PMs, and service work accurately
  • Coordinate repairs to minimize equipment downtime
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all safety and compliance procedures
  • Company-provided take-home vehicle and company card for fuel, parts, and job-related expenses
  • Perform pressure washing services for residential and commercial properties
  • Remove dirt, grime, mold, and other contaminants from various surfaces


What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Proven experience as a fleet mechanic, equipment mechanic, small engine mechanic, or similar
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose engines, pumps, and pressure systems
  • Experience with gas and/or diesel-powered equipment preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage a regional workload
  • Ability to lift 50–70 lbs and work outdoors as needed
  • Must pass a background check and DMV record check


Preferred (Not Required):

  • ASE certification or formal mechanical training
  • Experience with pressure washing systems or commercial maintenance equipment
