Job description

Clinical Neuropsychologist - Traumatic Brain Injury and Neurotrauma (Indianapolis)

Indiana University Health and The Department of Psychiatry at Indiana University School of Medicine are seeking a Neuropsychologist to join our growing team in Indianapolis, IN!The IUSM Department of Psychiatry, Division of Psychology is staffed by a large number of psychologists dedicated to providing high-quality clinical care in the context of cutting-edge research and education. Opportunities are available for clinical supervision of trainees, didactic teaching, and participation in research, against a backdrop of clinical excellence. Psychologists work with colleagues in supportive multidisciplinary teams. Professional development and growth opportunities are abundant.


The faculty psychologist will provide clinical services in a multidisciplinary context, working with physicians, APPs, and other health care providers. Clinical services will consist of psychological testing, psychotherapy, consultation, and treatment planning for patients with a history of traumatic brain injuries and other neurotrauma. In addition to clinical services, the psychologist will be expected to provide some education to trainees. Research opportunities may be available.



  • Full-time

  • Monday through Friday; 8am-5pm

  • Work location: IU Health Neuroscience Institute, downtown Indianapolis, IN

  • Patients with a history of traumatic brain injury or other neurotrauma, who are experiencing resulting symptoms of neurocognitive processing, loss of function, psychological distress, or behavioral disorders.


Qualifications



  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.)

  • Board Certified / Board Eligible in Clinical Psychology

  • HSPP Required

  • Completion of Neuropsychology Post Doc Fellowship

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

  • Retirement / 401(k)
