The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employee(s) assigned to this job.
JOB SUMMARY:

The Pricing Specialist I is responsible for supporting operational activities related to price governance, execution, and management. This role contributes to pricing strategy alignment and helps optimize customer value perception through accurate, consistent, and data-informed pricing practices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participate in execution of accurate and efficient pricing activities including Signs & Tags, Ad and POS execution, Pricing Optimization, and Vendor Relationship Management.
  • Provide pricing support for advertising materials
  • Partner with Data Integrity, Promotion and Category Management Teams to ensure effective, cohesive representation of value proposition to our customers
  • Prevent unauthorized or erroneous pricing; resolve pricing errors
  • Support in-store and online competitive price checks using both field-based and digital tools
  • Collaborate with Analytics teams to leverage insights that support traffic-driving, basket-building, and value-based pricing strategies
  • Monitor competitive pricing strategies and track evolving customer trends and behaviors
  • Maintain pricing calendars, reporting dashboards, and price performance and perception tracking activities
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to identify operational inefficiencies and suggest potential process or technology improvements to the team
  • Participate in Pricing Optimization initiatives, strategies and related activities, processes and deliverables
  • Proactively ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all activities
  • Model company values in authentic and caring ways that support the brand promise and strengthen team collaboration
  • Perform other duties and assignments as needed
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; College degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
  • Experience in Retail, Pricing, Promo Planning, Data Integrity, Merchandising, Procurement, or related field preferred
  • Functional capability in all Microsoft applications; Excel skills a plus
  • Basic knowledge of digital/interactive marketing channels and strategies
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and actively foster a team culture of continuous learning, innovation, and calculated risk-taking
  • Good communicator using both written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deal effectively and professionally with all levels of individuals doing business from inside and outside the Company
