1836 HD is looking for motivated, customer-focused RV & Diesel Technicians to help re-establish and grow our expanding Phoenix, Arizona operations.

This is more than just another technician position—it's an opportunity to become one of the founding members of our Arizona team and play a direct role in building one of the Southwest's premier heavy-duty, RV, commercial fleet, trailer, and equipment service organizations.

You'll work alongside experienced leadership while helping establish our customer base, support new team members, develop operational excellence, and build a reputation for honest, high-quality service throughout the Greater Phoenix metropolitan area.

Position Overview

This position will initially operate as a fully mobile field service technician, providing professional on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs throughout the Greater Phoenix metropolitan area.

As our Arizona operations continue to grow over the next year, we anticipate transitioning this role into a hybrid mobile and in-shop technician position, providing the opportunity to enjoy both mobile field service and shop-based repairs from our future Phoenix-area service facility.

Compensation$22.00–$35.00 per hour (DOE)

Primary Responsibilities
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic failures.
  • Perform mobile diagnostics and repairs.
  • Complete preventive maintenance inspections.

Qualifications

We're looking for technicians who possess some or all of the following:

Preferred Experience
  • Two or more years of professional mechanical experience preferred
  • RV repair experience
  • Diesel engine diagnostics
  • Mobile service experience
  • Heavy-duty truck experience
  • Commercial fleet maintenance
  • Generator diagnostics and repair
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • HVAC diagnostics and repair
  • Plumbing systems
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Welding or light fabrication is a plus

Equivalent experience and strong mechanical aptitude will also be considered.
