Job description

Palmetto Pool Doctors is hiring a reliable, experienced pool technician to join our team. You will be supplied with a company truck and equipment to successfully maintain the client's pool and/or spa. We have been in business for many years here in the Lowcountry and there is opportunity for professional growth. If you have no experience, we can train you.

*** We are looking for someone to work Tuesday through Saturday ***

Job responsibilities:

  • Clean pool and skim debris in water using net and vacuum.
  • Empty and changes skimmer and filter baskets.
  • Test and maintains proper chemical levels in swimming pool water.
  • Add swimming pool chemicals (e.g., chlorine, acid) to maintain water quality.
  • Perform preventive swimming pool maintenance.
  • Drain pools and water lines as needed.
  • Drive the company truck to clients’ homes.
  • Load and unload tools and equipment from work vehicles.
  • Keep company vehicles stocked with chemicals and pool cleaning equipment.
  • Coordinate service with customers and answer pool maintenance questions.

Qualifications and skills:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of previous experience as a pool technician is highly desired but not required.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Technical knowledge of common pool cleaning and maintenance practices, including equipment and chemical use.
  • Able to lift heavy equipment (40+ pounds) and work in all types of weather.
  • Great attention to detail, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
