Home Delivery Driver

Position Description:
We are looking for a Home Delivery Driver to distribute products promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.
Home Delivery Driver Work Schedule: 5-day work week (Monday - Friday or Sunday night - Friday morning). You must be able to work either shift.
Home Delivery Driver : $168 per day, plus stop incentives
HOME DELIVERY DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Pre/Post inspections of delivery trucks (DOT requirement)
  • Log hours of service such as driving, on, off, etc. (DOT requirement)
  • Pick orders from warehouse and load product into truck
  • Deliver dairy & grocery products to homeowners within assigned regions
  • Navigate routes using a GPS unit
  • Practice safe driving by following DOT regulations and company standards
  • Able to use handheld scanners to track inventory and delivery of products
  • Able to lift crates of milk weighing up 50lbs, including items overhead
  • Able to traverse multiple landscapes (uneven ground, wet or frozen terrain, etc.)
  • Able to work in various weather conditions (rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.)
  • Able to provide exceptional customer service to our clients

NON-DRIVING/DELIVERY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Use a power washer & shopvac to clean interior & exterior of truck
    • Move, organize, and clean areas of the truck barn
    • Pick orders in the warehouse
    • Crate glass bottles and stack them
    • Load glass bottles into industrial washing machine

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid driver's license (Class C in IL)
  • Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver
    • Able to lift up to 50 lbs, frequently bending, carrying, walking with product
  • Able to work in refrigerated conditions (33-38 degrees)
  • Ability to drive safely in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, physical environment
  • Clean driving record with no traffic violations
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
