Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position at a short-term acute care teaching hospital in Rochester, NY, requiring ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications with Phase I and Phase II recovery experience.

Details
  • Work in the PACU of a 471-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital
  • Phase I PACU and Phase II Recovery care provided
  • Patient cases include Endo/Laparoscopic, General, Ortho, Ortho/Spine, and Ortho/Total Joints procedures
  • Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 12:00–22:30
  • On-call requirement of 4 shifts per month (2 weekend call shifts and 2 weeknight call shifts)
  • Charting performed in Epic (preferred)
  • Scrubs are provided in teal
Requirements
  • Active NY RN license required
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Minimum 1 year of PACU RN experience required
  • Proficiency in phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement required for all RNs at this facility
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
