This role is integral to our mission of empowering individuals, families, and couples through high-quality mental health care. You will develop individualized treatment plans and provide therapy sessions that facilitate personal growth and well-being.

About the Organization

At Onward Healing Therapy, we prioritize the mental health of our clients by fostering a supportive and professional atmosphere. Located in Shelburne, Vermont, we believe in providing accessible, compassionate care to a diverse community. Our team consists of dedicated professionals who are committed to using evidence-based practices to promote positive mental health outcomes. By joining us, you will be part of a forward-thinking organization that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement in mental health services.

Work Environment

This position offers flexibility through a remote work setting, allowing you to create a comfortable and productive workspace while serving clients from the comfort of their homes. Our outpatient office remains a hub of collaboration, and we encourage regular team meetings to foster connection and professional growth. You'll benefit from a structured yet adaptable work schedule of Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, which supports a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments utilizing standardized assessment tools and interviews to inform treatment planning.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on clients' needs, goals, and preferences, ensuring a client-centered approach.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to diverse client populations.
  • Document all client interactions accurately, maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive records in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.
  • Engage in regular supervision and peer consultation to enhance therapeutic techniques and contribute to team learning.
  • Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to address changing needs and optimize therapeutic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, such as primary care providers and community services, to coordinate care and provide holistic support.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population of clients, including individuals from various socioeconomic backgrounds, cultural identities, and life experiences. Your adaptability and culturally competent approach will be crucial in addressing a range of mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. Our commitment to inclusivity means embracing the unique stories and needs of each client, ensuring they feel heard and supported in their healing journey.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Vermont-based LCMHC license.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport with clients and maintain professional boundaries.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting, working with varied client demographics.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapeutic practices.
Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD $100,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition, Onward Healing Therapy provides a robust benefits package that includes a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as life insurance options. This is an excellent opportunity for financial stability while pursuing a rewarding career in mental health.

With a focus on professional development, we encourage our team members to pursue ongoing education and training. We provide access to resources for maintaining licensure and enhancing therapeutic skills. As an integral member of our team, you may also have opportunities to take on leadership roles or specialize in areas of interest within the mental health field.

Why Join Our Team

Joining Onward Healing Therapy means becoming part of a mission-driven organization where your contributions take center stage. You will work within a supportive and collaborative team that values your expertise and insights. By empowering individuals on their mental health journeys, you will make a profound difference in the lives of others while fulfilling your own professional aspirations.
