Job description

Primary Care Physician – Evernorth Workplace Care

Kissimmee, FL | Full-Time | Onsite

Evernorth Workplace Care, part of Evernorth Health Services, delivers personalized primary care, acute care, and wellness services within employer-based health centers. Our model allows clinicians to focus on high-quality, relationship-based care for a defined patient population—without the volume pressures of traditional primary care practices.

By leveraging The Cigna Group's integrated data, referral networks, and Centers of Excellence, we emphasize preventive care, chronic condition management, and whole-person health. Because our clinics are not open to the general public, providers can practice thoughtful, data-driven medicine while helping employees and their families maximize the value of their Cigna benefits.

What Makes This Opportunity Unique
  • Exclusive patient population: Care exclusively for our client's employees, their families, and retirees enrolled in the Cigna Medical Plan
  • Focus on employee health and wellness: Practice proactive, preventive, and relationship-based care in an environment designed to support long-term health outcomes.
  • Work-life balance: No call, no nights, no weekends, shared patient panel, and team-based coverage model.
  • Strong clinical support: Excellent provider-to-support-staff ratio allowing physicians to focus on patient care rather than administrative tasks.
  • Manageable patient volume: 2–3 patients per hour, supporting meaningful patient interactions.
  • Competitive rewards: Competitive compensation and comprehensive Cigna benefits, including medical, dental, 401(k), CME time and allowance, generous paid time off, and annual performance bonus potential.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality primary care in an onsite outpatient setting
  • Deliver episodic low-acuity urgent care and extended acute care, including multi-visit treatment of short-term conditions
  • Educate patients on chronic conditions and collaborate with external primary care providers as appropriate
  • Provide acute care and sports physicals for pediatric patients (ages 2–17)
  • Conduct occupational health screenings
  • Perform and oversee CLIA-waived testing, medication dispensing, and specimen collection
  • Partner with onsite teams to support biometric screenings and wellness initiatives
  • Provide one-on-one health coaching and refer patients to wellness and preventive programs
  • Collaborate with HR and Benefits partners to support workforce health strategies
  • Work collaboratively with—and potentially provide oversight to—NPs, PAs, MAs, RNs/LPNs, and other clinical team members
  • Contribute to an integrated care environment that aligns clinical excellence with operational and business goals
Required Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine
  • Active, unrestricted Florida medical license
  • Active BLS/CPR, DEA, and Florida Dispensing License
  • Experience with electronic health records; EPIC preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, excellent bedside manner, and patient-centered approach
  • Passion for preventive care, health promotion, and patient education
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred) are a plus
