Hiring Range (Monthly Pay): $5,147 - $5,833

Summary
The Junior Software Developer will be responsible for the development and modification of the HIE (Health Information Exchange) interfaces for Contexture and development of HIE tools using solutions and technology such as C#, SQL, MongoDB, APIs (Application Programming Interface), and Web UIs (User Interface).

As part of the Application Development Team at Contexture, this position will support the development of new and existing solutions. As applicable, after-hours work may be necessary to support deployments, changes, or major incident response.

This position is based in Phoenix Arizona; Denver Colorado; or Grand Junction, Colorado and requires local residency in one of these base locations. Our strategic flexibility allows for local work from home opportunities.


Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Write and maintain software for Contexture's current and future tools and solutions.
  • Attend intermittent design discussions for new products, features, and tools.
  • Work with their Development Manager and other team members to follow best practices for integrations and custom tools. This position will be encouraged to think and provide feedback and suggestions for development efforts.
  • Work closely with Operations, QA (Quality Assurance), Implementation, and Project Management to support technical efforts throughout the SSDLC (Secure Software Development Life Cycle).
  • Create, update, and maintain documentation of coded solutions.
  • Versatility and adaptability to evolving priorities in projects, products, and tasks.
  • Develop software utilizing security best practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Understanding of Object-Oriented software development using languages such as C++, C#, or Python.
  • Knowledge of Object Notation Languages such as JSON, XML, BSON.
  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of relational databases or NoSQL solutions, such as MongoDB.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical business users and customers.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.js or jQuery.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs.
  • Understanding of Git Version Control (GitHub).
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required
