Job description

Summary:

A rapidly expanding Custom Software Development organization is looking to hire a Senior Full-Stack JavaScript Engineer. It's a fantastic organization that has been around for over 20 years, but still has a smaller/tight-knit feel. They pride themselves on their company culture and client first approach, which takes modern technical approaches to antiquated systems. They create custom software solutions for companies in several different industries, such as Logistics, Fiber Optic, Restaurant & Retail orgs.

In this role, you'll be building complex, highly interactive sites and applications with the latest trends in technology (JavaScript Node, React, Gulp, Grunt, Webpack, etc). Not only will you be working on exciting projects with great technology, you'll be working with fantastic people that also enjoy great benefits.

They provide 100% paid for health benefits for you and family, limit you to no more than 40 hours per week (Excellent W/L balance!), and dedicate 5 hours per week to growth (Fantastic Learning Culture!). They're also an incredibly inclusive and diverse organization. Moreover, this role is Fully Remote, but if you prefer, you can work in the office.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in OOP (JavaScript, PHP, Python, Java, .NET, or other)
  • Expert in backend development, ideally in the MERN Stack
  • Experience with FE build tools and CSS preprocessors (Gulp, Webpack, SASS, LESS, etc)
  • Proficient in MySQL, MS SQL or NoSQL.
  • Strong HTML, CSS, and CSS Related tools - SASS being a strong plus but Dust, Bootstrap, etc. are strongly encouraged to apply!
  • Experience in task management, version control, etc. (Git, SVN, Jira, etc.)
  • Highly skilled in debugging and troubleshooting
  • Must be a performance-driven Architect, who takes accountability for the team's work and possesses strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
