Job Title: Senior Diesel Technician (Third Shift)
Location: Omaha Nebraska

Shift: Third Shift (11:00pm - 7:00am, Monday - Friday)

Interstate Power Systems is seeking a Senior Diesel Technician—a proven expert in diagnostics and engine repair—to join our Omaha, NE team. This opportunity is designed for top-tier technicians who consistently handle the most complex jobs in the shop and take pride in being the go-to expert when others are stuck.

If you are known for your diagnostic precision, deep knowledge of Diesel engines, and ability to solve problems others can’t, this role offers the compensation, respect, and long-term support your skill set deserves.

What You’ll Be Trusted With

  • Advanced diagnostics and complex repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines and systems
  • High-level engine and powertrain work involving all makes of Diesel engines and Allison transmissions
  • Troubleshooting aftertreatment, electrical, fuel, cooling, and driveline systems
  • In-frame repairs, major component replacements, and root-cause failure analysis
  • Interpreting OEM diagnostics, schematics, wiring diagrams, and service literature
  • Serving as a technical resource for the shop when difficult issues arise
  • Delivering clean, accurate documentation and professional workmanship every time

What Sets You Apart

  • 5+ years of senior-level diesel technician experience (master-level strongly preferred)
  • Exceptional diagnostic ability with OEM software and tooling
  • Deep hands-on experience with multiple Diesel engines and Allison Transmission products
  • Ability to work independently and confidently on non-routine failures
  • Strong electrical and aftertreatment troubleshooting capability
  • High standards for quality, efficiency, and accountability

Preferred Credentials

  • OEM certifications (Detroit, Allison, Cummins, MTU, Volvo, etc.)
  • Formal diesel training or technical degree
  • CDL or willingness to obtain
