Who we are:
We're Fragmented Nostalgia — Minnesota's premier Pokémon, Digimon, and anime store, home in Maplewood Mall since Halloween 2022. We carry one of the largest selections of Pokémon and Digimon plush around, plus a deep lineup of Magical Girl anime (Sailor Moon, Card Captor Sakura, Madoka Magica), figures, Loungefly, blind boxes, ichiban kuji, and Japanese/Korean/Chinese Pokémon TCG. Beyond the storefront, we're on the road — you'll find us at conventions across the country year-round.
We're hiring one person to help us grow. This isn't a sit-at-a-desk job. You'll work directly with the owners to make things happen.
What you'll actually do:

  • Reach out to local events, venues, and similar businesses to set up collaborations and partnerships
  • Post and manage our social media — consistently, not "when you get to it"
  • Plan and run our in-store events from idea to cleanup
  • Work the occasional convention with our team
Who we're looking for:
You take initiative without being told twice. You're comfortable cold-emailing a stranger, walking up to a vendor at a con, and posting to thousands of followers — all in the same day. You follow through, and you'd rather own a project than be handed a checklist.
You also actually know this world. A strong handle on Pokémon and Magical Girl anime is what'll set you apart — you should be able to tell a Madoka fan from a Sailor Moon fan and know why that matters for an event or a post.
If you need a lot of structure and direction to get moving, this won't be a fit, and that's okay.
To apply: Don't send a generic resume. Tell us: What do you see or believe that we need, and how your skills and motivation would help in those areas. We read every answer.
