You'llย join KPFF's Salt Lake City office, a collaborative and community-focused team with decades of experience across the Wasatch Front and beyond. Our team provides structural engineering services throughout Utah and the surrounding area, contributing to projects that shape the local skyline and contribute to our region's continued growth. Our portfolio includes work for the University of Utah, the City of Salt Lake, the State of Utah, Utah Tech University, Unified Fire, and others, along with a wide range of public and private projects delivered in partnership with leading architects, developers, and contractors.ย 

About the Roleย

We are seeking aย Structural Project Engineerย or Project Manager in Trainingย who is motivated, collaborative, and eager to learn. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civilย or Structural Engineering (Master'sย preferred).ย 
  • At least threeย years of relevant structural engineering experience,ย demonstratingย strong technical and organizational abilities.ย 
  • PE license preferred, or a clear commitment to pursuing licensure with support from KPFF's professional development programs.ย 
  • Proficiencyย in Revit and familiarity with ETABS, RAM, RISA 3D, SAP2000, SAFE, or other structural analysis and design software.ย 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.ย 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.ย 
  • A proactive, curious, and adaptable mindset, with a passion for learning and continuous improvement.ย 
Additional Information

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table.ย 
  • Occasionallyย may beย requiredย to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.ย 
  • Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain.ย

Compensation and Benefitsย 

Compensationย 

The base salary for this role is competitive and will beย determinedย based on the candidate's experience, education, and skills. The expected range for a qualified candidate withย 3-6ย years of experience isย $80,000-$95,000. Additionally, we offer performance-based bonuses to recognize and reward outstanding contributions in each Reporting Center.During the interview process,ย we'llย provide detailed information and address any questions you may have about the overall compensation package and benefits.ย
