Key Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed dimensional, visual, and functional inspections of first article parts and assemblies.
  • Interpret and apply engineering drawings, specifications, CAD models, and industry standards (e.g., GD&T).
  • Utilize a wide range of precision measurement tools and equipment, including CMMs, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Document and report inspection results accurately and comprehensively, including non-conformances and deviations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment according to established procedures.
  • Generate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) in accordance with AS9102 or customer-specific requirements.
Recommended Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications (GD&T).
  • Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM).
  • Strong understanding of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and AS9102 or equivalent industry standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances accurately.
