Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Inspector & Shipping Clerk at the SyBridge Digital Solutions Additive Factory plays a critical role in ensuring every part produced meets our high standards for precision, consistency, and customer satisfaction. This hybrid role supports both additive manufacturing quality control and daily shipping/receiving operations. An understanding of additive processes, part terminology, and inspection methods is essential.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Inspection Responsibilities
  • In Process Inspection - Perform visual and dimensional inspections on additive parts throughout production, including first article reviews and final audits.
  • Metrology Tasks - Use calipers, micrometers, optical systems, and digital measurement tools to validate part accuracy.
  • Quality Auditing - Audit production lots, verify documentation, and record results with high accuracy.
  • Digital Recordkeeping - Scan, upload, and maintain digital quality files in accordance with SyBridge Digital Solutions standards.
  • Engineering Drawing Interpretation - Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T callouts, and additive-specific tolerances.
  • ISO Standards Compliance - Follow all quality procedures and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Team Collaboration - Work independently and collaboratively; train operators on inspection criteria and gauge usage.

Shipping Clerk Responsibilities
  • In Process Inspection - Perform visual and dimensional inspections on additive parts throughout production, including first article reviews and final audits.
  • Order Fulfillment - Pick, pack, and prepare finished additive parts for shipment according to customer requirements.
  • Labeling & Documentation - Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Carrier Coordination - Schedule pickups and manage daily interactions with UPS, FedEx, DHL, and freight carriers.
  • Receiving Duties - Receive incoming materials, verify counts, inspect for damage, and route items appropriately.
  • Inventory Control - Maintain accurate inventory levels for raw materials, consumables, and finished goods.
  • Material Handling - Safely move parts and materials throughout the facility using carts, bins, and pallet jacks.
  • System Updates - Perform data entry in ERP/MES systems to track shipments, receipts, and inventory movements.

Other Responsibilities
  • Production Support - Run 3D Printing equipment, perform post processing, and assembly as required as part of cross training and risk mitigation efforts.
  • All other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
  • High school diploma, technical school certification, or 5+ years of relevant experience.

EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE
  • Prior experience in quality inspection, shipping/receiving, or additive manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and digital inspection equipment.
  • Ability to pass vision and color differentiation tests.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and basic statistical/math concepts.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 or ISO13485 and additive manufacturing processes strongly preferred.
