Seeking Property Inspector — Join Our Growing Team!

Location: Indiana

Job Type: Both Full-Time and Part-Time Residential / Commercial Property Inspector

Employment Structure: W-2 Employee or 1099 Independent Contractor

Compensation: Starting at 40% - 50% commission per inspection based on experience and qualifications

About Redhawk Home Inspections

Redhawk Home Inspections is a locally owned Property Inspection and Consulting Company based in West Lafayette, Indiana, proudly serving the Greater Lafayette area and surrounding communities.  Redhawk has been in business for 7+ years, inspecting commercial and residential properties.  This is backed by the owner’s 32 years of both construction and inspection experience. Redhawk has a reputation for being thorough and technically savvy, communicating clearly with clients and going above and beyond on even the most complex properties.

About the Role

We're looking to add another Indiana licensed (or licensed-track) Property Inspector to join our team.  We will possibly consider hiring an individual with strong construction/real estate background that is open to meeting the State of Indiana’s requirements and testing necessary to become a licensed inspector.

What You'll Do

•        Perform on-site residential and commercial property inspections.  This includes: structure/foundation, roofing systems, MEP systems, exterior/interior finishes, building envelope and grounds/site conditions

•        Physical ability to access and inspect attics, crawl spaces and roofs

•        Perform inspections using the mobile app, Home Inspector Pro, using voice activation on your SmartPhone

•        Communicate inspection findings and answer questions from clients and real estate agents in a professional, easy-to-understand manner

•        Professionally represent our company with integrity, punctuality and strong customer service

•        Communicate as necessary with the Owner and Office Manager

•        Travel to remote inspection sites throughout the Greater Lafayette areas and surrounding communities

Job Requirements

•        Valid Driver’s License with no restrictions (only serious driving violations, such as DUIs or reckless driving, are disqualifying)

•        Licensed Indiana Home Inspector — current license required, or actively working toward obtaining

•        Candidates without a license but with extensive construction or real estate experience and a genuine interest in obtaining licensure will also be considered

•        Ability to pass a background check

•        Physical ability to access attics, crawl spaces, roofs, and navigate through a variety of building structures

•        Self-motivated, detail-oriented and professional demeanor

Compensation

50% commission per inspection completed. Final compensation structure is based on experience, licensure status and qualifications.  This will be discussed during the interview process.
