Description
Denver Test Prep (www.denvertestprep.com) is currently hiring private tutors for the subjects and standardized tests listed below. Tutors must be available to work with students in person, at homes, offices, libraries, etc., in the Denver/Boulder area. Test Prep tutors for DTP go through a paid training program and need to score a top SAT score to enter our training program.
DTP tutors should be available for tutoring three to four days a week, with a minimum of 5 hours per week.

COMPENSATION
  • $75 - $95 for each 90-minute tutoring session
  • The starting rate of pay is $50/hour for tutoring, plus an additional $20/hour for time spent driving to and from tutoring sessions.

Responsibilities
Deliver 1-on-1 or small-group tutoring sessions tailored to each student's academic needs, learning style, and goals (test prep, subject-area support, etc.)
Prepare and customize session materials, including practice problems, diagnostic assessments, and progress tracking, based on student performance and upcoming timelines (tests, exams, deadlines)
Track and communicate student progress to families/clients, including scoring practice exams, providing percentile/stanine estimates where applicable, and flagging areas needing additional focus
Maintain reliable scheduling and communication, confirming session times, responding promptly to family inquiries, and adhering to DTP's billing and cancellation policies
Qualifications
• Honors graduate of 4-year college or university
• Top 2% standardized test scores for tests you plan to teach
• 2+ years of teaching or tutoring experience
• Background check required as a condition of employment
• Reliable car to get to tutoring sessions not located near public transit
