The Focus and Balance Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor for a full-time remote role. In this position, you will play a significant role in transforming lives by providing individualized therapeutic services to clients facing various mental health challenges. You will assess clients' mental health statuses and design tailored therapeutic interventions aimed at supporting their journey towards improved mental wellness.

Key Responsibilities

You will work with those experiencing a broad spectrum of mental health disorders, including but not limited to substance use issues, major depressive disorder, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and eating disorders. Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Illinois.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience in providing mental health counseling.
  • In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect and build rapport with a diverse range of clients.
