Job description

Recycling Collection Driver – Airport Operations.

IGLogistix, a division of Imprimis Group, is hiring Recycling Collection Drivers to support a recycling collection operation at DFW Airport. This position operates a standard box truck to collect recyclable materials from designated airport locations and transport them to a nearby recycling distribution facility. 

This is a local driving and material-handling position. Drivers will remain within the assigned airport operation and return home after each shift. 

Position Details:
  • Pay: $20.00 to 21.00 per hour. 
  • Anticipated shifts: 
  • 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.
  • 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. 
  • Full-time schedule. 
  • Seven-day operation, 5-day work week. 
  • Most schedules are expected to fall Monday through Friday.
  • Weekend and holiday availability may be required.
  • Local routes with drivers home daily.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a company box truck throughout designated airport locations. 
  • Travel to assigned recycling collection points within the airport operating area. 
  • Deliver empty recycling containers and retrieve full containers. 
  • Load and unload pallet-sized recycling containers. 
  • Transport collected materials to the recycling distribution facility. 
  • Confirm that recycling materials are properly separated before transport. 
  • Assist with unloading and staging collected materials. 
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. 
  • Maintain collection logs, route documents, and vehicle inspection records. 
  • Follow assigned collection routes and schedules. 
  • Communicate delays, full containers, access problems, equipment concerns, and contamination issues. 
  • Follow all airport, TSA, traffic, safety, and site procedures. 
  • Maintain control of airport-issued badges and credentials. 
  • Keep the vehicle and collection area clean and organized. 
  • Assist with general warehouse or recycling duties when routes are complete. 

Requirements:
  • Valid driver’s license. 
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record. 
  • Previous delivery, box truck, warehouse, logistics, route, or material handling experience. 
  • Ability to safely operate and maneuver a box truck. 
  • Ability to load, secure, transport, and unload recycling containers. 
  • Ability to read route instructions and follow assigned schedules. 
  • Ability to pass all required employment and driver background screenings. 
  • Ability to complete TSA and DFW Airport badging requirements. 
  • Ability to complete airport driving and site safety training. 
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays when scheduled. 
  • Reliable transportation to the assigned work location. 
  • Strong attendance, dependability, and customer service skills. 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous box truck or route delivery experience. 
  • Experience working at an airport, warehouse, distribution center, recycling facility, or secured site. 
  • Experience using pallet jacks, liftgates, carts, or similar material-handling equipment. 
  • Familiarity with recycling collection or waste-management operations. 

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to enter and exit a box truck repeatedly throughout the shift. 
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements. 
  • Ability to load, unload, and move containers and recyclable materials. 
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions. 
  • Ability to work around vehicle traffic, noise, dust, odors, and recycling materials. 
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment. 

Additional Information:
This position requires access to secure airport property. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all required screenings, credentialing, and training.
