Job description

Tower Foreman - Full-Time
Company: Aero Constructors LLC
Location: Field-based, primarily Colorado
Website: www.aeroconstructors.com
Aero Constructors LLC is hiring a full-time Tower Foreman to lead field crews on tower construction, maintenance, lighting, antenna, and RF line projects. We perform work for wireless carriers, utility companies, broadcasters, and government/public safety customers throughout Colorado and the surrounding region. The majority of our current workload is in Colorado, though occasional regional travel may be required for projects in Nebraska, Wyoming, and nearby areas. We have shop locations in Ault, CO and Grand Island, NE, but this is primarily a field-based role. Crews typically dispatch directly from home to job sites using company-provided vehicles, with occasional shop reporting, material pickup, or staging as needed.
This role is intended for more than just a traditional Tower Foreman. As a small and growing company, we are looking for someone who can step into a broader leadership role within the organization, help improve field operations, mentor technicians, uphold quality and safety standards, and grow with the company over time.
Job Overview
The Tower Foreman is responsible for leading a crew in the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrade of communication towers and related equipment. Work may include tower lighting systems, antennas, RF transmission lines, mounting hardware, grounding, cabling, equipment installation, site maintenance, and related telecom infrastructure. This is a hands-on leadership position. The Foreman is expected to work alongside the crew while also managing jobsite safety, productivity, quality, communication, and daily execution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead tower crews on daily field operations
  • Climb and perform hands-on tower work as needed
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade tower systems and telecom equipment
  • Read and follow scopes of work, closeout requirements, drawings, and customer specifications
  • Coordinate materials, tools, vehicles, equipment, and daily jobsite needs
  • Communicate with project managers, customers, and crew members
  • Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce company/OSHA safety requirements
  • Track job progress, photos, closeout documentation, and daily reporting
  • Train and support less-experienced technicians
  • Represent the company professionally on customer sites

Preferred Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Any experience with microwave systems is highly preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience in the cell tower industry
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Top Hand, Tower Foreman, or similar crew-lead role

This experience is preferred, not required. Candidates with strong technical ability, leadership potential, safety awareness, and relevant telecom/tower experience may still be considered.
Travel Requirements
  • Majority of current work is within Colorado
  • Primarily day travel within assigned work areas
  • Occasional overnight travel depending on job location
  • Regional travel may include Nebraska, Wyoming, and surrounding areas
  • Overnight travel may range from 2-5 nights per week during certain projects
  • $35/day per diem for overnight stays

Position Details
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour, depending on experience
  • Hours: Typically 40-60 hours per week
  • Overtime: Paid at 1.5x
  • Work Setting: Field-based, outdoors, construction sites, tower sites, and elevated work environments

Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Basic computer and smartphone skills
  • Strong organizational habits and attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and lead a crew in the field
  • Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions
  • Physically and mentally able to climb and work at heights over 150 feet
  • Willing to follow and enforce company and OSHA safety requirements
  • Must provide basic hand tools and appropriate outdoor work gear

Benefits
  • Paid training
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off
  • Safety equipment and training certs provided by company
  • Flexible scheduling when job conditions allow
  • Company-provided vehicle for approved work use

Work Location
This is an in-person, field-based position with travel to various job sites. Regular office attendance is not required, but occasional reporting to a company shop, supplier, or staging location may be necessary depending on the job.
