GENERAL SUMMARY
The Vice President, Operations Liaison serves as a senior liaison between Deposit Operations, Branch Administration, Retail Banking, Risk, Compliance, Information Technology, Treasury Management, Vendor Management, and other internal partners. This role coordinates operational initiatives, escalations, process improvements, regulatory support, and cross-functional communication. The position also oversees ATM Services, including ATM operations, debit card support, vendor coordination, balancing and settlement, exception resolution, equipment servicing, and service delivery for proprietary ATMs, while ensuring strong controls, compliance, efficiency, and service quality.
DIRECT REPORTS
This position supervises assigned ATM Services, card operations, and other designated team members based on department needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Serve as the primary Deposit Operations liaison for branches, business units, Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, Information Technology, Treasury Management, Vendor Management, and other partners.
- Coordinate operational requests, escalations, projects, system changes, procedure updates, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Oversee ATM Services activities, including ATM operations, debit card support, vendor coordination, balancing, settlement, exception resolution, maintenance, and service delivery.
- Manages, directs, and evaluates staff responsible for ATM operations, ATM balancing and settlement, debit card support, and the resolution of ATM-related exceptions and customer issues.
- Coordinates ATM installations, removals, upgrades, repairs, signage, and maintenance activities with vendors, facilities, branches, armored carriers, and internal technology partners.
- Develops, updates, and maintains procedures, internal controls, and documentation related to ATM operations, card services support, balancing, settlement, and vendor management.
- Collaborates with Risk Management, Fraud, Compliance, Information Technology, and business units to address ATM incidents, operational issues, control gaps, and service improvement opportunities.
- Analyze operational issues, trends, service gaps, and process inefficiencies; recommend solutions to improve accuracy, service, controls, and efficiency.
- Support audits, regulatory requests, risk reviews, remediation efforts, testing, implementation activities, and management reporting.
- Partner with Deposit Operations leaders and subject matter experts across Branch Services, Support Services, Transaction Processing, Wire Operations, Reconcilement Services, Regulatory Monitoring and Reporting, and Deposit Fraud.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal partners and promote consistent communication, accountability, and understanding of operational requirements.
- Perform other duties or special assignments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- College degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or related field preferred; equivalent banking experience may be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum 5-7 + years of banking, deposit operations, branch operations, ATM/card operations, risk, compliance, project coordination, or related financial services experience.
- Minimum 5-7 + years of people management or supervisory experience in operations required.
Skills/Ability:
- Strong knowledge of deposit operations, ATM/card operations, banking products, operational controls, and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication, analytical, organizational, problem-solving, follow-up, and prioritization skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office and applicable Bank systems
OTHER DETAILS
$91,200 - $113,100 / year
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
