Job description

Data Center Network Engineer III
Location : Atlanta, GA
Contract
We are looking for a well-rounded network Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in the implementation of customer network environments including dedicated circuits, Cisco routers, and Fortigate firewalls. The candidate needs to have a strong foundation in network
infrastructure, a solid understanding of dynamic routing protocols and great analytic and troubleshooting skills. This engineer would be responsible for ensuring that the operations teams have high quality training and documentation in order to provide first level support for both incidents and work requests in multiple data center environments. The ability to pivot between multiple tasks and
projects throughout the day while managing workflow and dates is an essential skillset for this team.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in relevant Computer Science/MIS fields or equivalent work experience
5+ years experience in a network engineer/architect role within a data center environment
5+ years experience working with Cisco routers for edge connectivity
5+ years experience working with firewall technologies (preferably at least 2-3 years with Fortigate and Fortimanager)
Strong Routing & Switching skills with extensive experience working with dynamic routing protocols (BGP, OSPF)
Demonstrated leadership of large complex projects
Experience working with service providers for circuit provisioning and troubleshooting
Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level. Demonstrated strong background in working with cross functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues on the network
Flexibility, including the willingness and ability to readily respond to changing circumstances and expectations. Openness to new ideas and procedures.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong planning skills
Solid work ethic and integrity
Preferred Knowledge and Skills
Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE) Data Center
Strong knowledge in Data Center architecture
Experience with Nexus 9K and VXLAN
Experience in programming Python and Ansible and/or other network automation tools
Exposure to Arista data center network products
Experience with Network visibility tools like Gigamon, Extrahop, Splunk, Solarwinds
Stress management/composure -- the ability to work, while maintaining composure and calm demeanor under pressure.
Strong customer service and client focus.
The ability to be a part of a team and to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
