Job description

For six decades Garver has designed projects for more than 250 aviation clients. Garver understands the complexities of airport systems held together by runways, roadways, facilities, and electrical systems that need to work in tandem to accommodate daily needs for travel and transport. Garver’s Aviation Team maintains a diverse, skilled design team dedicated to providing the expertise and leadership to assist our airport and aviation clients in meeting both current and future needs.
Garver’s Florida Aviation Team is looking for an aviation team leader to join our growing diverse, skilled team in South Florida. The Aviation Civil Project Manager will have the opportunity to manage a wide array of aviation projects with various aviation clients, mentor junior engineers, and make significant contributions to Garver’s growth momentum in the Florida aviation market. Your efforts in this role will be supported by an accountable, organized staff of experienced professionals. This position is suited to technically savvy engineers interested in a multitude of career growth pathways who thrive on collaborating with colleagues to create lasting, quality infrastructure and satisfied clients.
Responsibilities for this role include: project management of aviation design projects for airports and other aviation clients
  • Construction administration and oversite for aviation clients
  • Market research and business development to create/ expand industry relationships to pursue and win aviation engineering and planning projects
  • Collaborate and coordinate with multi-disciple teams of design engineers and technicians
  • Provide outstanding client service
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • 8+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably with aviation project experience
  • Responsive and consistent in communications
  • Proficient in design software packages such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, aviation specialty programs
  • Travel will be required with occasional overnight stays
Preferred Skills
  • Previous experience working with a multi-disciplined team while overseeing project execution
  • Experience in construction administration for development projects at airports
  • Licensed pilot or other aviation-related experience
