This is a temporary-to-hire position with the opportunity to become a permanent employee after 90 days, based on performance, attendance, and business needs.
Job Summary
The Production Assembler I is responsible for assembling mechanical, electrical, and electronic components into subassemblies and finished products using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and specialized equipment. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic components according to work instructions and engineering specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
- Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust components to meet product specifications and quality standards.
- Perform inspections, testing, and functional checks to verify product quality.
- Troubleshoot, repair, or rework assemblies that do not meet required standards.
- Maintain accurate production and assembly records.
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Follow all manufacturing procedures, quality requirements, and company policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Vocational or technical training preferred.
- 0โ3 years of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly, component installation, calibration, soldering, troubleshooting, and functional testing.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
