Minimum Qualifications Five years of experience in safety inspection or training, emergency preparedness, safety education or promotion, risk management, or administrative services; OR Six years of full-time work experience plus two years of experience in safety inspection or training, emergency preparedness, safety education or promotion, risk management, or administrative services; OR A bachelor's degree plus two years of experience in safety inspection or training, emergency preparedness, safety education or promotion, risk management, or administrative services; OR An advanced degree plus one year of experience in safety inspection or training, emergency preparedness, safety education or promotion, risk management, or administrative services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field.

The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Specification The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Primary point of contact for the Emergency Response Team.

Coordinates resources between state agencies and local authorities. Leads the preparedness and response of behavioral health teams. Recommend policies and procedures to support for disaster response and recovery initiatives.

Chairs the Crisis Intervention Team Training Institute. Serves on local and state committees involved in emergency preparedness. Oversees the deployment to the Medical Special Needs Shelter (MSNS), Red Cross shelters, and other community shelters.

Provides training and education to address behavioral health crises. Complies data and issues a formal report to the executive team. Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational Appointment or Promotion (CAHSD employees only).

Location: Capital Area Human Services District's Administration Work Schedule: 9 hours per day Monday - Thursday, and 4 hours on Friday. Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. The maximum salary for the Safety Risk Agency Manager is $84,302.00 annually
