📍 Salina, KS

⏰ 40 Hours/Week | Full-Time


The Vernon Staffing Group is seeking a Registered Nurse – Med/Surg or Pre-op units for an excellent opportunity with a supportive and collaborative healthcare organization in Salina, Kansas.


This position offers nurses the opportunity to provide quality care to medical and surgical patients while working in an environment that values teamwork, professional growth, and meaningful patient relationships.


What You’ll Do

• Provide specialty nursing care to medical and surgical patients using the nursing process

• Perform patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation

• Provide personalized, patient-centered care

• Maintain professional nursing standards and comply with state regulations

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals

• Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families

• Work within a maximum 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio


Pre Op units- This role offers an opportunity to provide high-quality nursing care in ambulatory or surgery pre-op settings. Candidates will work collaboratively to assess, plan, and evaluate patient care while adhering to professional and state standards.


Pre-op Schedule and Shift Details

● Surgery call: two weeknights, one Friday, and two 24-hour weekend shifts every 4 weeks; PACU call: one weeknight, one Friday night, and two weekend shifts per month; Ambulatory call: one Friday night and two weekend shifts per month.


Qualifications

✅ Associate Degree in Nursing or higher

✅ NEW GRADUATES ARE WELCOME TO APPLY!

✅ Current Kansas RN license OR Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)

✅ Current BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross
