Job Duties and Responsibilities:  

The main responsibility of the Culinary associate is to provide the highest level of customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Monitor and control all buffet stands to ensure quality assurance standards. Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others.  

 

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store 

• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold within the department and be able to respond to questions and make suggestions about products 

• Inform customers on ingredients in each recipe  

• Provide customers with fresh products that they have ordered and the correct portion size (or as close as  

• Check product quality to ensure freshness 

• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise 

• Display a positive attitude 

• Understand the store's layout and be able to locate products when requested by customer 

• Maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions note any discrepancies in inventory 

• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines 

• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained  

• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management 

• Notify management of customer or employee accidents 

• Report all safety risks or issues and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud to store management 

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation 

• Ensure that all garbage cans in the department have tightly closed lids on top of them at all times; it is a MUST that gloves get changed after each garbage disposal   

 

 Preferred Qualifications: 

• Ability to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service 

• 18 years or older 

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

• Ability to read, write and do simple math problems 

• Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions and solve problems 

• Able to work well with others as a team member 

• A passion for serving people 



5 days per week, Sunday and Saturday working days
up to 40 hours
