Job description

Sirna & Sons Produce is a fourth-generation, family-run, wholesale food distributor. In our 81 years of service, we have continually provided premium produce, competitive pricing, and superior service. We are proud to bring you the finest quality products from growers across the nation, around the world and locally. We’re more than just produce, need dairy? We have it! Last minute catering, no problem. Our in-house produce processing facility, Christine’s Cuts, we got you covered.  We distribute our fresh arrivals 6 days a week to restaurants, hotels, country clubs, schools and institutions throughout Ohio, Central Pennsylvania and Northern West Virginia. You can count on us to provide nothing less than fresh! Our business, like yours, depends on delivering the very best and since 1939, Sirna & Sons Produce has been doing just that.

Essential Functions:

  • Locate and select the specific warehouse items to fulfill the customer’s order.
  • Perform visual inspections of orders to ensure accuracy according to quantity, size, etc.
  • Maintain equipment and report on equipment malfunctions.
  • Comply with all applicable OSHA and Food Safety regulations.
  • Keep the warehouse clean from debris and organized.
  • Accurately and efficiently select product in designated quantities for orders by using the pick ticket to fulfill the entire order.
  • Responsible for properly loading products into assigned trucks and ensuring products are stable and secure.
  • Fully and accurately complete all route manifests and pick tickets to confirm order completion.
  • Seeks support from warehouse leadership regarding inventory, quality, and out of stock (O/S) or substitution issues.
  • Communicate with warehouse leadership on any operational irregularities relating to product inventory or quality, facilities, or staff.
  • Carries out the down stacking of pallets as needed and assigned warehouse cleaning as scheduled.
  • Appropriately check out at the end of each shift prior to clocking out and leaving.
  • Follows all handling and reporting procedures for allergens.
  • Efficiently handle products with proper care to prevent damage and waste.
  • Accurately and safely operate warehouse equipment and processes related to packaging products.
  • Participates in maintaining a safe work environment, always using safe lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching practices and following safety procedures.

Physical Demands:

  • Stand or walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Work in cold and wet cooler environment for extended periods of time

Schedule:

  • Sunday–Friday with varying start times between 4:00PM - 7:00PM
  • Work until tasks are completed

Compensation:

  • $17.00/hour
