Description:

We are in search of a Product Quality Inspector to join J. Ambrogi Foods and support our produce quality-checking operations. The Product Quality Inspector role is a very important position in a critical segment of J. Ambrogi Foods Operations. Working in a fast-paced environment the Product Quality inspector must be organized and finish tasks in a timely manner. The quality control inspector must work diligently to ensure that the fruit/vegetables are carefully inspected, and the detailed information is accurately recorded. 


  RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect fresh produce prior to being shipped out and periodically while in cold storage to ensure the quality of the product.
  • Produces inspection and quality control reports that accurately communicates the analysis to purchasing, sales, and management.
  • Advises on the selection of products for customer shipments and the managing of good inventory turnover.
  • Investigate and resolve quality-related problems in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates and participates in product selection and repacking operations. Monitors the quality control inspections for these operations.
  • Build and maintain secure relationships with warehouse employees, and managers.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of basic food safety standards and issues.
  • Produce Inspection Skills, knowledge of USDA grade standards, methods, and techniques
  • Must be organized and have problem-solving skills.
  • Make appropriate decisions, work independently, and communicate clearly and effectively
  • Able to lift 40 lbs.
