Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking a Middle School French & Spanish Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year at an independent school in Seattle, WA.

French & Spanish Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Teach both French and Spanish courses for middle school students.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans and curricula tailored to the needs and skill levels of individual students.
  • Teach French and Spanish language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through a variety of instructional methods.
  • Create opportunities for students to practice conversational Spanish or French and improve pronunciation and comprehension.
  • Participate in regular professional development activities to stay current with best practices and innovation in language education.
  • Serve as an advisor for students ensuring student success.


French & Spanish Teacher Requirements:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Spanish, French, Linguistics, Education, or related required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven written and verbal proficiency in both Spanish and French.
  • At least 3 years of previous K-12 teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of ACTFL standards preferred.
  • Willingness to assist with extracurricular and school community activities.
