As of Jun 14, 2026, the average hourly pay for freight team associate in Ohio is $15.08, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $11.88 and $18.27 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

A Freight Team Associate typically does not earn $10,000 a month without specialized experience or additional responsibilities. High earnings in logistics or freight roles usually require advanced skills, certifications, or managerial positions, which can increase salary potential. Most entry-level freight roles pay less than this amount, but experienced or supervisory positions may approach higher earnings over time.

What are Freight Team Associates?

Freight Team Associates are responsible for the receiving, stocking, and organizing of merchandise in a retail or warehouse environment. They unload delivery trucks, move products to store shelves or storage areas, and ensure inventory is properly accounted for and easily accessible. These associates often work early morning or overnight shifts to prepare the store for customers and maintain a clean, safe work area. Their role is essential for keeping the store well-stocked and running smoothly.

What does a freight team associate do?

A freight team associate is responsible for loading, unloading, and organizing shipments in a warehouse or distribution center. They operate equipment such as forklifts, ensure accurate inventory handling, and follow safety procedures to maintain efficient freight movement. Attention to detail and physical stamina are important for this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Freight Team Associate, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Freight Team Associate, you need physical stamina, attention to detail, and basic math skills, usually supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with inventory management systems, pallet jacks, and barcode scanners is commonly required. Strong teamwork, time management, and communication skills help individuals excel in this fast-paced, collaborative environment. These abilities ensure efficient stocking, accurate inventory control, and a safe, organized workspace.

What are some common challenges Freight Team Associates face during overnight shifts, and how can they be managed?

Freight Team Associates often work overnight shifts to unload, organize, and stock inventory before regular store hours. Common challenges include maintaining energy and focus during late hours, efficiently handling heavy merchandise, and coordinating tasks with other team members under tight timeframes. Staying well-rested, practicing safe lifting techniques, and communicating clearly with supervisors and teammates can help manage these challenges. Teamwork and time management skills are essential for meeting nightly stocking goals and ensuring a smooth transition for the day crew.

What jobs make $1000 per hour?

Freight Team Associates typically do not earn $1000 per hour, as this rate is extremely rare for standard roles in logistics. High-paying jobs that can reach or exceed $1000 per hour generally include specialized professions such as top-tier surgeons, experienced anesthesiologists, or certain high-level consultants and executives. These roles often require advanced education, extensive experience, and specialized skills.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?
