Job description

Warehouse Driver/Freight Team Member

Job Purpose

  • The Warehouse Driver/Freight Team Member at Good Earth Markets will safely and efficiently transport goods between the warehouse and store locations, ensuring products arrive on time and in excellent condition. The warehouse driver supports store operations by following delivery schedules, maintaining accurate records, and upholding company safety and customer service standards. In addition, they will efficiently receive, unload, and stock merchandise, ensuring shelves are well-stocked and organized. Maintain inventory accuracy and a clean, safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle and process freight in a safe, efficient, and correct manner.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipment activities.

  • Assemble and direct merchandise to multiple locations.

  • Unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise.

  • Keep track of inventory.

  • Operate a forklift (active driver’s license required).

  • Use a pallet jack to load a lift-gated box truck.

  • Efficiently transport goods from warehouse to stores obeying all traffic laws and regulations.

  • Maintain a clean work environment to ensure safety and compliance.

  • Perform daily janitorial responsibilities.

  • Help with various other duties throughout the warehouse as assigned or needed.

  • We are an E-Verify employer.

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Experience/Skills and Abilities

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.

  • Experience with inventory management and control. 

  • Experience operating a forklift and other warehouse equipment.

  • Experience with Box truck driving and operation.

  • Ability to operate a forklift (active driver’s license required, no CDL).

  • Ability to drive 90 minutes uninterrupted.

  • Ability to assist with various other duties throughout the warehouse as assigned or needed.

  • Possess a great attitude, willingness to learn, and accept feedback.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a desire to be part of a great team.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to handle a physical workload.

  • Self-motivated, reliable, and punctual.
