Job description

Overview:

The Claims Analyst partners with internal colleagues, external customers, vendors, and other parties to address and resolve account reconciliation issues

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain positive business relationships both internally and externally to promote company goals
  • Research claims to determine appropriate action for claim resolution based on warranty, inspection report, lab results, input from dealer, etc.
  • Research chargebacks and disputed invoices resulting in an appropriate resolution
  • Assist the Credit Department in resolving issues that could potentially prohibit the shipment of orders
  • Process all claims with attention given to each request in a timely manner
  • Serve as a liaison for dealers and sales force for determining a resolution and following up on pending claims
  • Work with Quality Control on defect resolution
  • Schedule return authorizations with dealer, carrier, or warehouses
  • Correspond with carrier and dealers regarding damaged or lost freight claims

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of carpet claims experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the carpet manufacturing process preferred
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Knowledge of Customer Service functions as it pertains to claim resolution
  • Proficient and accuracy with computers, AS400 system, Word, and Excel
  • Detail-oriented, strong organizational skills, and time management skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
