Job Function
The Photography Instructor will teach non-credit courses designed for adult learners who want to build both creative and technical photography skills. These courses lead to a certificate and are offered on weekday evenings to accommodate working adults.
Job Responsibilities
  • Teach engaging, accessible lessons on photography fundamentals, techniques, and creative expression.
  • Develop class outlines, demonstrations, and hands-on activities appropriate for adult learners.
  • Provide individualized feedback and guidance to students with varying skill levels.
  • Demonstrate proper use of DSLR, mirrorless, and smartphone cameras.
  • Introduce students to editing workflows using tools such as Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or mobile apps.
  • Prepare and manage simple in-class photo shoots, fieldwork sessions, or campus photo walks.
  • Communicate clearly with program staff regarding attendance, materials, and course needs.
