Position Summary
The Content & Marketing Intern supports the Marketing Department by assisting with the creation and execution of marketing initiatives that strengthen MMC's brand awareness and community engagement. This role contributes to content creation across digital platforms through photography, videography, graphic design, social media management, and event support while collaborating with the marketing team on campaigns and special projects.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Capture photo and video content at community events, physician events, outreach activities, MTSU athletic activations, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Create engaging content for MMC's social media platforms, including photography, videography, graphics, and written copy.
  • Design digital marketing materials and social media graphics while maintaining MMC brand standards.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, publishing, and monitoring social media content across multiple platforms, including MMC Pediatrics social media channels.
  • Edit photos and videos for use in social media, website content, digital marketing campaigns, and internal communications.
  • Organize and maintain digital photo and video libraries for future marketing use.
  • Support the coordination and promotion of community outreach events, marketing activations, and other departmental initiatives, including occasional evening and weekend events.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on campaign development, content creation, and special projects while staying current on social media trends and digital marketing best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the department and organization.

Education & Experience
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, Graphic Design, Photography, or a related field required.
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and similar channels required.
  • Proficiency with Canva required; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar graphic design and video editing software preferred.
  • Photography and videography experience preferred.
  • Previous internship, campus organization, freelance, or related marketing experience preferred.
