Vasion is looking for a Solutions Engineer who serves as the technical authority behind every deal; guiding prospects from frontline IT to C-suite, shaping deal strategy, and winning the technical decision with confidence. We modernize how organizations handle documents, print, and content workflows, replacing fragmented legacy tools with a single, secure platform — and we're looking for the person who can bring that story to life in every solution we design.

• Sales motion: Technical consultative selling across new, add and expansion

• Success metrics: Technical win rate on SE-engaged opportunities, POC success rate and time-to-value, influenced ARR on strategic accounts (new, add, upsell)

You win the technical decision, run evaluations that prospects remember, and set customers up for clean implementations and lasting expansion. Beyond the deal, you raise the technical bar across the team and drive architectural standards that scale across the business.

Ownership of technical strategy across complex accounts, proving value and fit, identifying new use cases, and growing customers over time.

• Discovery and value mapping: Run thorough discovery across technical and business stakeholders, surfacing objectives, constraints, and success criteria to drive strategic account planning, identifying must-win accounts and adapting strategy as conditions shift.
• Demonstrations and Proof of Concepts (POCs): Build and deliver tailored demos and sandbox environments that connect product capabilities to prospect problems, with clear success criteria, exit gates, and multi-stakeholder coordination.
• Technical leadership in the deal: Recommend reference architectures across diverse IT environments, addressing security, compliance, performance and scalability concerns while resolving technical objections and partnering with Services on SOW inputs. Contribute to the internal technical standards that scale across the business.
• Competitive positioning and enablement: Articulate Vasion's differentiators versus alternatives and provide AEs, partners, and the broader SE team with reusable assets, competitive positioning, and technical selling skills.
• Mentorship and enablement: Mentor and develop team members on competitive positioning, discovery, and demo craft. Raise the technical bar across the team.
• Field feedback and readiness: Surface field insights that sharpen Product, Engineering, Marketing, Services, and CS and feed Sales and partners with reusable assets, expansion opportunities, and strategic partnerships.

Broad technical knowledge, advanced communication skills, and a structured approach that wins complex deals and expands customer value:

• Presales and Communication: Discovery, objection handling, storytelling, demonstrations, and executive communication with the ability to adapt quickly to new verticals, buying processes, and compliance frameworks.
• Architecture and Systems Thinking: Foundational understanding of common enterprise software architecture patterns (C4 Model) and cloud infrastructure (Docker, Azure, AWS).
• Networking and Identity: Troubleshooting DNS, proxies, firewalls, and VPCs; strong grasp of LDAP and SSO (Azure Entra, Okta, SAML).
• Security and Compliance: Familiarity with common compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• Domain Expertise: Print, Workflow, and Output Automation across cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises environments.
• Technical Toolbox: Diagramming; bash and/or PowerShell; SQL basics; RESTful APIs.

Requirements

Seasoned presales experience, strong technical depth, and the ability to navigate complex buying environments with confidence:

• 3+ years in presales Solutions Engineering for SaaS or enterprise software
• Experience navigating complex buying environments; procurement cycles, compliance requirements, and multi-stakeholder dynamics
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• English language proficiency

• Experience with complex sales cycles and formal procurement vehicles (RFP/RFQ), including channel-led delivery
• Exceptional written and presentation skills across technical and business audiences
