Responsibilities include:
  • Analyze drawings and solid models of aerospace parts to determine the tooling required to produce patterns for investment casting.
  • Design fixtures and tooling necessary for production.
  • 3D solid modeling and surface modeling.
  • Observes first article production and inspection to verify process is followed and results are conforming.
  • Develop methods to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with internal tool makers and external vendors on tool designs and modifications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, models, and specifications as needed to ensure compliance with customer requirements.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equal.
  • 5-years of experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Solidworks or other CAD software is required.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good understanding of GD&T
  • Strong communication skills
  • Candidate should be respectful and team oriented, building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
